Lanes closure on Hodges

From City of Jacksonville PW:

The southbound inside lane of Hodges Blvd from Glen Kernan Pkwy/Sutton Park Dr S to just north of J. Turner Butler Blvd will be closed.

The work will start 5-5-24 & occur between the hours of 7pm and 5am. Southbound closures will end 5-19-24 immediately followed by northbound inside lane

closure from 5-19-24 ending 6-2-24, same work hours as southbound..


Should these time frames change you will be promptly notified.

I worry greatly for the neighborhoods back here and the accidents that are going to triple and now end up on Hodges and Glenn Kernan. Not to mention the litter. . And at a 30 mile an hour speed limit. I can tell you if you hit a kid they’re dead. Just like the deer that we can’t seem to get a crossing sign for . Prob can’t get a slow children sign either. I can’t speak for the other developments, but if you’re in Riverbrook At Glen Kernan and you’re plowing down that main road even at 30 I’m asking you to slow down. Parents please People definitely are doing at least 35 to 40 miles an hour up…
